8 Months Old!
The girls are 8 months old and as you can tell from our belated update, we are BUSY! They are keeping mom and dad on their toes! We have noticed tons of new behaviors the girls have started, the cutest being they have started noticing one another and will smile and grab each other when they are laying together. Mia is starting to show her personality even more by grabbing whatever toy Annika has and taking it! She then proceeds to hit whoever is nearby, throw the toy and then look to Annika to see what she is playing with again.
Annika is doing great with her sitting, standing and rolling. She is also starting to creep when she's on her tummy and get up on one knee more and more. She loves to "speak" and has just mastered putting her feet in her mouth. This seems to keep her entertained for a good 10-15 minutes at a stretch! Mia is improving on lifting her head while on her tummy, rolling and making her own raspberry noises. She has started taking solids really well and is keeping up with Annika in eating 2 meals a day in addition to bottles. At the girls' last RSV shot appt, Annika weighed 12lbs 13oz. Mia weighed 11lbs 3oz. We will keep this months update short so we can include lots of pictures. We have posted a picture of William, he came to visit the girls last month. He was a "room-mate" while in the ICN-born at 30weeks. His mom Sarah and Meg keep in touch via email. In this picture, Mia is not very happy!! Talk to you again next month, we will try to update on time!
